DotNetNuke module developer, PackFlash, has just released an new version of their DotNetNuke Events Module, which is a solution for providing a list of events within sites built on top of the DotNetNuke platform. This new version of the Events module has the capability to tie 2 or more websites together and share the events between those sites.
When events are shared, they are represented as if they belong to the current site. The user is not forced to switch sites as they would be if the content sharing was accomplished via RSS feeds. This is a much better experience for the user. Appropriate controls are included so that content administrators can select exactly which events are shared or kept unique to a particular site. One application of this feature is for an company that sites for different business units, but which needs to display a information about trade conferences on each of the sites. While the PackFlash DNN Event module can be purchased on its own, it also exists as part of the Constellation suite of modules.
